I had an older computer that I wasn’t using and installed Ubuntu.
I use it as a back up and play around with it. Ubuntu is fast and has a clean easy-to-use interface.
I use it to surf the internet. Rather than risk my main computer by clicking on an unfamiliar link–I check websites first with the Ubuntu pc.
Hi Terry.
Re. item about doing things with old computers. I have not done this myself, but if you have a home network, I believe it’s relatively easy to set up an old machine as a mail or file server, possibly using Linux-based or open-source software, as I understand that a high-spec. machine is not required for these sort of functions. I dare say you probably know more about this than me and can elaborate further, but I just thought I’d throw the idea into the mix!

In main article, search for “fashter” replace with “faster”.
