I had a similar problem, but with a different reason for a failed installation. My pc was custom made through the State University of New York at the University at Buffalo. They made it so that after so long of being on it would automatically turn off. I have about 3 hours of working time before it will shut off. While I was downloading some updates after being online awhile. It automatically shut off on me and they all failed.
