A Google PC?
The rumors hitting the big news sites today include a Google PC.
Supposedly, this will be a small unit, running an operating system created by Google. Along with the rumor is one that Google has been in negotiations with Wal-Mart to carry the new Google PC.
Personally, I don”t see this as Google trying to horn in on the Windows PC. I think a Google PC will strictly be focused on the Internet — browsing, one-button-access to Google search, one-button-access to Gmail, and none of the usual I.E. and Outlook Express stuff.
Think WebTV®, but designed and run by Google, running under some lite variant of Linux.
